Braking Faults/ Inner Basket not Stopping after Lid released

If your Suitmate’s fault has anything to do with slow braking, or the drum will not stop running then this is a braking problem, for health and safety reasons the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer must be switched off immediately and an out-of-order sign placed on the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer. The next step is to contact Shoretan Leisure to arrange a service, we will endeavor to have your Suitmate serviced as quickly as possible, or we can supply the necessary parts for a professional tradesman qualified to carry out the necessary repairs. Please ensure all services, or repairs carried out on the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer, are carried out correctly, professionally and above all safely. Always refer back to the user manual on how to dissemble the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer apart.

What Tests should be carried out on a Service/ Repair

When Shoretan Leisure services or repairs a unit, our qualified testers then subject the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer to a PAT test, and RCD test to ensure the equipment is safe to use by the public. We strongly recommend if the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer is ever repaired or serviced on site, then the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer should have a PAT test, or equivalent, and receive an RCD test.

 Starting or Running problems

Please follow the simple steps and should you require any assistance please feel free to contact us.

1. Do you hear any noise coming from the Motor, I.e a humming noise?

No – Please proceed to question 2.

Yes – Unfortunately your Suitmate motor has seized. This could have been caused by heavy use, or due to a blockage within the black liner that has caused waste water leaking down the shaft of the motor which has resulted in the motor seizing. Please contact Shoretan to arrange a repair, or to supply the necessary parts to repair the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer.

2. If there is no noise coming from the motor when the lid is pushed down then please push listen for a faint clicking noise that will appear to come from the back of the unit. If there is a faint click noise please read questions 2a. Should the lid be pushed down and there is no clicking noise then proceed to question 2.b. Should neither of the following steps resolve the fault please contact Shoretan leisure for further advice on 01530 231 000.

2a. Check the RCD located underneath the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer in a white box. Make sure the switch is on, if it has tripped switch it back on and test the unit. If this does not resolve the problem check your circuit board to make sure this has not tripped.

2b. In the event there is no clicking noise coming from the back of the Suitmate Swimsuit Dryer please remove the unit off the wall and take into your plant room, store room, or a room restricted to staff only where the Maintenance technician will have access to power and tools. Use a screw driver to remove the back panel where the black conduit/ pipe runs in and out. Inside there is a Microswitch, push the Silver lid down while looking at the Microswitch, If the Microswitch moves up and down significantly but does not click then it may only require an adjustment. Should the Microswitch have no, or very little movement then the Actuator screw might require replacement. Please contact Shoretan Leisure for advice on how to adjust the Microswitch, or how to replace the Actuator Screw.
